Nashville

Oh, hey Nashville!

The obligatory photo in front of this wall art.

So I just got back from my first trip to Nashville! It was a long drive from Florida, but once we made it we were quickly charmed by the small town. Since it was my birthday weekend we splurged and stayed at an charming studio we found on Airbnb. It was one of the best stays I've had on a vacation! Our host was so gracious and even left a little birthday gift.  If you haven't used airbnb when traveling, I suggest giving it a shot! You can find great deals and its so much more cozy than a hotel. We were within walking distance of some of the best restaurants and shopping. On that note, I've never ate so much in my life. There were so many restaurants that we were trying to get in one trip, and that meant eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Some of the restaurants we ate at;
Pinewood Social- Coffee bar, hang out area, restaurant, bar, bowling alley, and a swimming pool! What?! One place has all this. It was by far my favorite of the entire trip. After a delicious meal, we worked it off by bowling. I'm not very good, but it was a ton of fun.
Edleys BBQ- Um, who doesn't like BBQ? They have  huge selection of food, and even a breakfast menu. Yup, BBQ for breakfast..what a concept.
Frothy Monkey- The cutest little coffee house, that offers a healthy selection of food. I hear it's one of Taylor Swifts favorites. ;)
Barista Parlor- Hipster coffee shop. Literally, its one of the coolest coffee shops I've ever seen. The lot is an old motorcycle garage turned cool hangout spot for hipsters. Its not all looks though, they have a selection of biscuits to die for.
The Pharmacy- If your in the mood for some good hamburgers then this is the place to go. So many amazing selections of burgers and sausages. The best part about this place was the homemade sodas, and milkshakes.
Mas Tacos- Woah! Best tacos I've ever had. Its a small little hole in the wall, but the food will not disappoint. Everything was fresh and tasty! Just make sure to bring cash, they don't take card.
BlueBird Cafe- Not exactly a restaurant, but they have live music every night. Its not just any local artist, this little place host bands and singer songwriters from all over the united states. Many famous artist were first discovered here.

The shopping was so different than what I'm used to here in FL. It was collectic, and unique. I was overwhelmed with all the vintage shops, I couldn't even get to them all but here were some of my favorites.
OMG (Old Made Good)- Antiques and clothing for men and women.
Local Honey- New vintage for men and woman
Imogene + Willie- Want a custom pair of jeans? This is THE place to go. Even if you don't, its a must to at least visit the store. I felt my eyes light up when I walked through the door.
Savant Vintage
Fueslage- Clothing and antiques
General Store- Local made goodies
Hatch Show Print- One of the oldest print shops still in business

There's so much more that I haven't even mentioned, it'll take me an hour just to talk about the night life! All I have to say is, its true when they say it's the music city. There is so much to see and do. I fell in love with just about everything in Nashville. Between the character of the city and the live music, being back home seems a little boring now. I will defiantly be back to visit Nashville again. I was completely charmed and swept off my feet. It swear its America's best kept secret!
