So the other day was one of those crazy weather days, one minute it's raining like crazy and the next its sunny. I was just lucky enough for the rain to pass long enough to shoot a couple photos. This pier is one of the oldest standing piers in the area, it reaches out 1,200 feet into the Gulf of Mexico. It's a tourist hotspot to get one of the best views for watching the sunset.

Here I wore a babydoll plaid dress from Zara. Plaid is one of those classic patterns that can be worn all year around, as well as a million different ways. Not to mention they're comfortable, easy to wear, and usually affordable. I added a little edginess to this look by pairing a few leather touches. Adding a leather jacket dresses up the basic plaid dress, it's more of a "date night" look. Wearing gladiator sandals can be a little tricky, its most important to not let the whole outfit be too busy. Let the sandals be the statement piece. I personally like wearing them with shorter skirt or dress to add length. This is a chic effortless look that can be easily achieved.
