Mix Match

I'm feeling a little mixed matched in this outfit post, I guess it was just one of those days.

I always like to have a "pop" effect to my outfit. The easiest way to create this pop piece is by adding jewelry, scarfs, belts, shoes, and handbags. In this case, I chose to accent with the red Kate Spade purse (which you just can't go wrong). I'm also wearing a yellow polk a dot vest and complimented the look with a solid more neutral skirt. Taking time to create your outfit is important because it allows you to see what you're missing in your closet, in the long run it will just make it easier to shop. When in doubt go for black and whites. Neutrals in general (khaki, grey, denim, camel colors) are great for color mixing, but black and white, especially together. You just can't go wrong. You will probably almost never see me wearing black in a blog post because working at Aveda it's required to wear black at work. Needless to say I get so bored with it, so my days off are for bright obnoxious color.

xoxo,

  1. If by "mix matched" you mean awesome, then yes, I couldn't agree more!
