In respect to Halloween I thought I'd put something together that was a little more festive. I have to say, I didn't have to work to hard on coming up with an outfit that coordinated with this particular holiday. When I went to visit Atlanta this past week I found this two piece top and skirt at an amazing thrift store. I love the co-ord outfits, it's an even bigger bonus when you can find them vintage. The red polka dot two piece was a give-in, of course I had to be Minnie Mouse. So I dug around my closet and found a pair of Minnie ears, everyone has a pair of Minnie Mouse ears laying around their house. Right? Maybe that's just me. But anyways, another reason I love these two pieces because of the ability you have to mix and match. You have so much versatility!
I'm excited for Halloween this year, it's like the older I get the more excited I become. Even though I'm channeling Minnie in this post, this isn't quite my real costume. Stay tuned for that tomorrow.;)
On a side note. In my recent travels to Atlanta I was killing time in the convince stores at the airport, and stumbled along a book called #GIRLBOSS. I've heard about it before and I know it was a trendy read for a while, but I decided to pick it up and to be honest I haven't been able to put it down since! This is a book for any girl with big dreams. The author Sophia Amoruso is the CEO and Founder of Nasty Gal (a clothing company). Starting from the bedroom in her apartment selling vintage clothes she found in thrift stores on eBay to making a million dollar business in just 8 years. Her story is so inspiring and it's definitely not the "traditional' path you'd expect from a CEO.
